Looking at the Venezuelan and North Syrian situation, what about the adoption of crypto in third world nations with weaker currencies, lack of access to traditional banking and unstable governments? Wouldn't crypto be a viable solution as a unit of currency?

It would be, but as in the case of Venezuela, even though they have bitcoin in increasing volumes, external governments have stipulations against trading BTC with Venezuela. So I assume while it can assist fragile states, those states need to at least be able to provide for itself domestically.
